Can you put a price on convenience and service?

Posted & filed under Advertising, Life.

My 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan was stricken with an illness last weekend. It started ticking on Saturday, got worse by Sunday and by Monday morning it began squealing and smoking from under the hood. I had already planned to get it to a shop come Monday morning but apparently that wasn’t soon enough.
When the call came from my wife, who was driving the van home from work when the smoke appeared, I knew I had to act fast. I made […]

It started with a Burgerville kids meal

Posted & filed under Advertising, Life.

Earlier this summer, we were passing through Albany, also known as “home to the Burgerville closest to my house.” We stopped in and had dinner as we do anytime we have a reason to head north. Each of my children ordered a kids meal, which of course comes with a toy, like any good kids meal should. Only the “toys” at Burgerville aren’t the typical piece of junk that you sometimes get with other fast food.

On Saturday morning, my Dad and […]

Long before my advertising career began, I had a job in retail. Many people look at retail jobs as low paying, demeaning and what you might be reduced to do if you ever lost your “great” job. I, on the other hand, found my retail experience to be rewarding in oh-so-many ways. It was what led to my success […]

You might know Bach as a financial expert who encourages people to align their financial lives with their values.

Go Pink in the Park

Posted & filed under Advertising, Community, Life, Office.

If you ask me, it was a recipe for success: stir in equal parts health care, athletics and marketing, then top with the color pink. The final result: a deliciously good campaign.
For those of you who didn’t get out to Civic Stadium on Wednesday nights last summer, you missed all the fun of Go Pink in the Park.
On Wednesday home games, the Eugene Emeralds baseball team wore pink jerseys to promote breast cancer awareness and Oregon Imaging […]
